Purpose of Position:

  • The successful applicant will report directly to the CEO of the company (Manila) and will be responsible for providing leadership in identifying, assessing, and managing all technology activities within the organization based at our dedicated Development Centre in District 7, HCMC.
  • Overseeing the department and guiding the day-to-day operations of the development team, the individual will direct, coordinate, supervise, facilitate, and perform all tasks and elements to a high standard within the organization.
  • The individual will be accountable for IT development via local and globally distributed 3rd party teams, and ensure that development goals are fully aligned with the corporate goals of the organization.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Formulate, establish, and execute a clear technical vision and lead the company’s technological development.
  • The role includes recruiting, supervising, mentoring and managing all members of the development team and providing highly motivating and professional leadership in all areas of technology planning and technology resource management.
  • The Head of Development will identify and integrate new technology, leveraging across business units and existing IT infrastructure.
  • The individual will drive the development business strategy, and enhance communications and collaboration internally and across business units.
  • Lead the full life-cycle development process from product definition/strategy, through design, development, test, release and sustenance for multiple products/components and technology platforms and partnerships.
  • Works closely with Marketing, PMO Team, and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements.
  • Responsible for the technical direction of the company by introducing development standards and practices, testing procedures, methodology use, release and deployment guides, control practices, SLA creation and adherence, and analysis of development performance against company targets and KPIs.
  • Own the development methodology – see the big picture and identify potential blind spots, ensuring the team and architecture is adjusting dynamically.
  • Conduct research and case studies on leading edge technologies and makes determinations on the probability of implementation.
  • Make recommendations on potential improvements in all teams and areas of the business to Senior Management.
  • Brief the CEO on any technical matters that may require his awareness or review.
  • Identify and rectify any gaps within the team with regards to the quality and velocity of development work.
  • Provide recommendations for product development and optimization with respective business units.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years as a Head of Development in a similar sized organization.
  • 7+ years of previous commercial development experience in the software development industry using LAMP Stack / .Net / Java / C++ and associated frameworks.
  • Expert in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum).
  • Architecture and implementation of large-scale production / critical systems.
  • Deep understanding of technology fundamentals, ideally through a computer science degree or equivalent demonstrable knowledge through in-depth practical experience.
  • Ideally a good understanding of Asian product/payment vendors and technology providers.
  • Ideally previous experience within the Gaming industry.

  •   Monitor the system performance and cooperate with stackholder/vendor to resolve all issues regarding to Application
  • Receive the  request/take requirement from user/cross team, do consolidation , cooperate with stakeholder/ vendor  provide the solution or work around based on understand/research system features for system customization/deployment (if any)
  •  Take administration role for Sharepoint portal : unitlize good features, improve/maximize remain resource base on understand system feature, research, optimize and propose the improvement solution
  • Co-operate with users and vendors to do the testing, UAT and implement the new system feature/enhancement
  • Manage IT project : timeline, tasks, resource, risk assessment (if any)

Job description

To be in charge of strengthening legal, compliance function of which related subjects are as follows:

LEGAL:

Provide legal advice, draft contracts and other legal documentation, including but not limited to:

  • + Review, advise, draft all agreements between the company and vendors, variety of agreement (such as the service, trading, sponsorship and leasing agreement, etc.) between the company and vendors
  • + Consult and explain the legal issues related to Sales agreement to sales staff or on behalf of Sales Team to negotiate with customers about provisions stipulated in the sales agreement
  • + Take part in providing legal advice and settlement of complaints or disputes
  • + Be in charge of all company issues related to legal aspect and provide legal advice requested by General Director and Head of Departments to ensure the company’s compliance under region/country’s regulation
  • + To advise for matters related to obtaining advertising license
  • + Advise General Directpor and Board of Management on key legal matters, newly created laws and regulations and actively partcipate as a strategic business partner to the business
