Description

Responsibilities:

Product commercialization

  • Responsible for product quality at commercialization phase and make sure new products are transfer smoothly from development team in CN to factories in North Vietnam
  • Responsible T4 in factories in North Vietnam, providing technical input throughout the production, identifies T4 performance KPIs of factories in North Vietnam, leads analysis and reporting data to measure factories performance in North Vietnam
  • Control of the commercialization process, leading all meetings with factories, maintaining records, and keeping to agreed schedules.
  • Follow up with vendors and internal stake holders to make sure all gaps at development are informed and closed effectively with comprehensive corrective action plans.
  • Identifies how best to support Technical Team & vendors through the feasibility and commercialisation

Quality management

  • Identifies and implements Quality Assurance strategies across the Supply chain to improve quality and reduce cost to the business.
  • In charge of reviewing lab test, daily reports from production audits and final inspections to capture key problems and work out corrective action plan with vendor to prevent customer complaints.
  • Measure quality KPIs (customer complaint/production audit/final inspection), follow up with vendors for action plan to close gap systematically and communicate effectively with different levels in country and regional team on problems/root cause and containment/preventive actions.
  • Responsible for daily/weekly reports from QA technicians and make sure inspection and daily production audits are consistent at highest integrity, pro-actively analyse data and find root causes and solve quality problems in a structured way.

· Make sure vendors are complied with Brand’s quality requirements (footwear test

methods & standards, quality requirements).

  • Manage daily activities of QA technicians, be a key contact for production quality problems found at daily production audits, incoming materials, lab tests and final inspection.
  • Timely support team members on their daily challenges and drive vendor for quality improvement.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager

People management

  • Evaluate annual performances of QA technicians and coach team members on achieving goals and developing necessary skills that get results. Coaching involves developing team members’ performance, offering feedback, and demonstrating the desired skills and expected work ethic.
  • Organize team meetings, topics of discussion and progress toward the goal.
  • Responsible for preventing conflict where possible and resolving it, setting ground rules and clearly assigning tasks to team members.
  • Co-ordinates and manages teams work schedule and priorities and ensures internal process and performance

Qualifications:

    • Have experience in footwear quality management position, preferably for international brands.
    • Experienced in factory management, product manufacturing and technology, experience in relevant product category.
    • Able to work with different levels in complex situations with minimum supervision and drive for improvements at vendor sites with quantitative results.
    • Familiar with quality assurance and process improvement and tools, data driven decision making and systematically thinking way.
    • Experienced in relevant footwear product testing and standards.
    • Effective skills in data reporting & analysis, good analytical skills, problem solving skills and attention to details.
    • Can-do attitude, while willing and able to come up with practical solutions when problems arise.
    • Ability to self-manage, prioritise and multi-task
    • Ability to work both independently & as part of a team at different locations (Quang Ninh and Thai Binh).
    • Experienced in working effectively across multiple functions in a global business
    • Strong communications skills in a multi-cultural environment.
    • Computer literate in office tools (MS outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Personality

    • Able to motivate and develop people (coaching and mentoring QA technician through problem solving, leading by example).
    • Structured way of working and solving problem skills.
    • Precise in defining tasks and prioritization.
    • Able to ensure management and implementation of tasks and projects.

Language and communication

    • Fluent in English and local language, oral and written, Chinese is a plus
    • Open communication at all levels in a multi culture organization and vendors.

Position: Product Engineer ( Development Manager)

Salary: USD 3,000-USD 4,000
Report to : Head of Product Development (Expat)
Working location: Hai Phong

Responsibility:

  • To co-ordinate factory sample making and factory based development work on new design ideas, ensuring that new styles are approved on time
  • To manage the creation of product handover packages, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the information provided, to assist Commercialization as required to flex the roles i.e. Some commercialization work will be required at peak periods.
  • To supervise the creation of sample shoes, ensuring that key aesthetic details and styling requirements are executed effectively in the finished product
  • To initiate ideas for design, specification and construction changes to reduce product cost without compromising the design concept
  • To work with the costing team members to ensure costs are correct.
  • To ensure that new materials and components are tested and approved against the Brand standards prior to being confirmed in product specifications.
  • To resolve any fitting problems with new design ideas, achieving a fit standard approved for the style approval transfer package.
  • To co-ordinate sample sole mould making activities within product sign off deadlines
  • To collaborate w/ Costing, Commercialization and other team members to ensure that product is Developed and Engineered for successful commercialization and manufacturing with cost engineering principles employed.
  • To supervise the work of team members

Technical Skills:

  • Able to read and check engineering drawings
  • Able to check sample shoes against a design brief and ensure that pattern proportions, material specifications and production techniques are of an acceptable standard
  • Able to check the fitting quality of a sample shoe and rectify any problems
  • Successful Experience:
  • Extensive (10 years) experience working in a sample making environment delivering productions to the standards expected by International brands
  • Practical experience making shoe patterns
  • Experience of production quality control or physical product testing

Senior Corporate Responsibility Specialist (Health and Safety)

Location: Ha Noi

Position Summary

  • Research and develop occupational health and safety standards and best practices to support development, worker safety and manufacturing safety programs. Liaise with functional teams and manufacturing partners to implement and promote supplier ownership on health and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and maintain knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and compliance standards of the Asian countries. Maintain and develop specific standards and requirements.
  • Work closely with Corporate Responsibility (CR) teams to promote supplier health and safety ownership through training, SMP monitoring and capacity building.
  • Work closely with offices for apparel, accessories, footwear and retail to implement specific health and safety initiatives for suppliers.
  • Develop country specific training programs which help supplier develop worker safety ownership. Develop and lead manufacturing health and safety training for internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
  • Identify collaboration opportunities with industry and brand partners to drive best practices, joint standards and capacity building for suppliers.
  • Develop partnership and manage business relationships with third party service providers.
  • Synthesize health and safety data and measure performance to drive improvement. Support communication with internal and external partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Science, Social Science or related fields.
  • 5 years of experience which minimum 4 years in Occupational Health and Safety position, or manufacturing compliance position in apparel, accessories and footwear industry. Work experience in international brands or sourcing offices is an advantage.
  • Professional occupational health and safety officer qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH/OSHA or equivalent).
  • Excellent in both written and spoken English and local language are required. Proficiency in Asian languages is an advantage.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills (training/presentation, facilitation, team collaboration, communication)
  • Highly self-motivated, energetic, willing to learn, with good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Travel is expected to be up to 50%, domestically and internationally.
