Job Description:

The Successful Applicant:

  • The ideal candidate is a CFA – Vietnam qualified finance professional with significant.
  • Prior experience of leading finance teams within the Logistics/Supply Chain sectors.
  • You will be an ambitious individual keen on a role offering progression down an FD/CFO pathway.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience as a manager of the finance team with strong experience in budget, forecast and analysis.
  • Knowledge of USGAAP and JGAAP regulations
  • Strong communication skills in English

Overall responsibility

  • Lead, direct, and control the organization’s financial resources to maintain the short and long-term financial health of the business along with compliance of taxes and planning for the same, banking regulations and regular/accurate financial reporting, as per Group standard.

Key responsibility

1. Manage all corporate financial functions

  • Direct, manage all corporate finance functions so that financial transactions, policies, and procedures are as per groups guidelines.

2. Manage all corporate financial activities

  • Monitor activities: accounting; credit control; cash flow; investment management; tax; insurance; treasury; internal & external audit; budgeting and forecasting; and foreign exchange exposures

3. Create, implement strategic planning

  • Decision-making at the top executive level to develop and implement an organization-wide financial strategy
  • Lead the timely and accurate preparation of the organization’s financial reports, such as profit and loss accounts, balance sheet, management financial reports, and regulatory reports and filings.
  • Evaluate proposed business activities and transactions such as acquisitions, investments, capital expenditure, divestitures, mergers, or the sale of assets to ensure they are financially viable
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with banks, investment analysts, and other financial institutions.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of senior managers to ensure that the organization's financial strategy is implemented effectively, consistently and according to established guidelines.

4. Helping businesses and management take effective decisions

  • JV Management-Developing healthy Relations with JV teams. Improving & Designing the Processes for continuous improvement. Provide solutions for the challenges. Aligning Regional & Country Accounting team with JV's.
  • Taxation-Review the taxes compliance for LD & JV's on timely basis. Proactively ensure that Tax is aware of all the changes in the Business models & is integrated with the Business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree + professional qualification in finance.
  • Min 10 years in management in the commodity or finance trading industry.
  • Ability to align businesses with function/people (commercial acumen). 
  • Experience and full understanding with tax related to import/export of products
  • Analytical skills, reporting, fund management, taxes.
  • Facilitating effective and efficient decision making for businesses
  • Multi-tasking, Quick turnaround of issues and problems
  • People management, advance leadership skill, excellent communication and ability to clarify/put across a point, relationship management-internal as well as external
  • Experience in sourcing finance and managing large cash flow operations

Financial Planning Appraisal Manager

Roles & Responsibilities:

+ Analysis

  • Being champion and owning the business analysis model(s) in order to be able to provide fit-to-purpose financial analysis service to all stakeholders.
  • Owning the Commercial analysis (Sales, marketing, and all overhead costs) and overall financial analysis
  • Being challengers to Supply chain Business partnering
  • Providing reasonable and in-depth analysis addressing key drivers of these costs.
  • Pre and post evaluating sales and marketing promotional programs/schemes/events.
  • Managing and driving gross profit (GP) % by Product, Category, Customer and Region in comparison with forecast, budget and the past.
  • Being responsible for Monthly internally financial & management reporting and analysis with insightfully and meaningfully variant commentaries (Analysis of Changes)

+ Forecasting, budgeting and Business control

  • Being champion of short term forecasting (Quarterly Forecast and monthly Outlook) and annual budgeting process on due date
  • Critically support Group FD in strategic business and financial planning
  • Tracking, reviewing, voicing, and reporting to department heads of commercial and functional spending. Whistling, challenging abnormal and over/under spending in order to ensure the opex given would be spent effectively.
  • Being responsible for Setting up, deploy, and develop commercial pool of data to serve business analysis purposes.

+ Managing sales movement, sales prices, sales incentive/promotion budget and programs given to customers on the basis of approved sales schemes to ensure to optimize Gross Margin and company’s business frame works.

+ Participating in and playing critical role in Distribution channel and Customer portfolio management panel team

All other duties as reasonably requested by Group FD and CEO.

+ Business gate keeper to ensure business is driven accordingly to the group’s business frame works.

+ Providing fully support requirement business to deliver annual business and financial targets

Knowledge and Experience:

  • More than 8 years working experiences in accounting and financing fields and/or business management/Financial Analysis & planning
  • Corporate finance in manufacturing companies, end-user products
  • Skillful with ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking. Detail oriented and ability to work and interpret figures and other financial information.

3.     Financial Management:

  • Evaluate the economical and the efficiency of using the company resources in the purpose of fulfilling all missions and objectives.
  • Identify if there’s financial risk threating the liquidity of project & reason of any difference of extra cost compared with budget to make sure the project is under control.
  • Examine the safety of project cash flow through the cash in from revenue and cash out for expenses.


  • Good command of English.
  • Must have at least 5 years experiences with financial management & regulatory requirements, strong audit sense.
  • Understanding of financial and accounting, operations of group companies and risk-based management, especially in real estate is an advantage.
  • Expertise of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point…).
  • Preferably worked under expat manager/supervisor and at a foreign company.
  • Strong communication and liaison skill in executive level.
