Report to: Finance Director

Responsibilities:

  • Review payment requisitions and ensure the appropriate accounting is performed for payment transactions in the company.
  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Set up of account process and procedures for an insurance company
  • Prepare budget / projection and build partnership with functional heads.
  • Manage the local audit and tax compliance requirements.
  • Develop, implement and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology

Requirements:

  • University degree holder.
  • ACCA, CPA, CFA or professional financial / accounting certificated courses is preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounting.
  • Insurance knowledge and background.
  • Experience in dealing with Tax Authorities is preferred.
  • Be analytical, self-motivated, pro-active self-starter with the ability and attributes to act and perform with minimal direction or instruction.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Good command of written & spoken Vietnamese and Professional working proficiency for English.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

Brief scope of work:

1. Recruit and manage the bancassurance sales team

  • Be accountable for the setup.
  •  Recruitment and management of the bank channel sales team
  • Inclusive of Sales Managers, Wholesalers, Marketing and Promotions and bank-based Insurance Specialists.

2. Develop and manage the bank partner relationship

  • Be a key member of the bancassurance steering committee and Insurance Planning committees and sub-committees to support the business as required.
  • Develop and manage the overall planning and development of account plans and the Yearly Insurance Plan.

3.   Drive sales and sales operations

  • Meet the assigned targets for profitable sales volumes and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure that critical talents are in place to support the business.
  • Foster a culture that drives performance and customer service orientation to maximize business growth.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of account management or sales management experience, of which at least 5 years are within insurance or other financial services
  • Shown strong ability to build distribution sales teams

  • Leverage best practices from the businesses globally to assist with continuous development of the sales team
  • Carry out regular formal and informal coaching and training of the bank sales team
  • Develop and manage the bank and bank branch relationships
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the bank and maintain close relationships with key bank branches and branch personnel (Branch Directors, Deputy Branch Directors, Relationship Manager Management team and Relationship Managers and others as required) in such a way that opportunities and issues can be identified and appropriate strategies developed.
