Position:                       Drupal - PHP Developer

Scope:

The company  requires a Drupal – PHP Application Developer for the implementation and support for on-going and new projects.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Work as part of a project team to design and develop web applications using Drupal and PHP
• Review output formats to better understand expected outputs from the system;
• Manage changes, bugs, and enhancements for the application, modify the application where necessary and test its applicability to ensure it conforms to the specifications;
• Bug test application to ensure its reliability and stability;
• Prepare the necessary project related technical documentation.
• Apply industry standards and best practices in writing and performing codes, testing and comply with security standards and policies for the produced artefacts.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Must have a working knowledge of applications development and technical architecture
• Must have a good understanding of Web Application Security
• Must have a good knowledge of web design and search engine optimizations
• Must be technologically savvy, demonstrating the ability to easily adapt to new and unfamiliar technologies, software, and systems
• Must have a good understanding of business applications, technologies & software

Experience:

• At least 3+ years of proven development experience with the following technologies or similar products:

• • • Drupal (development, site building and theming)
  • PHP, JQuery, CSS, Angular, Bootstrap
  • MariaDB / MySQL
  • Web Service development

• Good knowledge and sound understanding of IT fundamentals and technologies pertinent to creating business solutions (software development and testing, architecture, applications, databases, integration, infrastructure and networks).

Desirable:

•     Tools and techniques: PHPStorm, NetBeans, Eclipse, Jenkins, Puppet and GIT

• Experience in using application development frameworks and methodologies

•     Relevant industry certifications, including PRINCE2 & ITIL

The resource should have the following soft skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision.
• High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
• Ability to deliver quality results
