JOB DESCRIPTION

Strategic

  • - Define & achieve sales strategy across markets, products & channels.
  • - Identify opportunities for growth, formulate business expansion strategies and support business development.

Leadership

  • - Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together:
  • - Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.
  • - Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company.

Planning and Execution

  • - Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:
  • - Collaborates with store development team to develop an integrated market plan. Maintains relationships with jurisdictions and planning commissions to ensure seamless openings for new store or remodels/renovations.
  • - Develops a comprehensive strategic plan to manage a regional portfolio of stores. Develops and manages a regional renewal strategy.
  • - Plans and manages business unit and department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
  • - Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.

Process/Operational

  • - Participate in strategic planning, business development, and general company management as a member of the management team.
  • - Develop, manage, and adhere to sales operating budgets, and establish sales policies.
  • - Represent the company at trade shows.
  • - Provide transformational leadership, using Vital Conversations and expectations of a leader. Fully role model behaviors, supervise and coach others to do the same.
  • - Actively participate in the company annual strategic planning process.
  • - Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency.
  • - Delivering good working relationships with technical colleagues, to understand the company’s products and services in order to offer the solutions to meet customers specifics needs.
  • - Build trust and establish credibility at all levels within the company.
  • - Manage and coach all elements of the Performance Management System within the Sales Team to ensure goal setting and alignment while carrying out the mid-year and year-end performance review process.
  • - Maintain in-depth working knowledge of the company’s brands, systems, processes and products.
  • - Lead Sales and other business initiatives in support of company’s strategic business plan.
  • - Have the ability to lead and manage a Strategic Imperative for the company in any functional area.
  • - Carryout active discussion and relationship building with customers.
  • - Other duties as necessary.
  • - Ensure attraction, retention and skill development of sales team to create a high performing talent pool Monthly, quarterly and bi annual appraisals of the team performance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or relevant field.

Experience:

  • - Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field with a minimum of 10 years in sales
  • - At least five to ten years of sales management experience preferred.
  • - Thorough understanding of the industry & channel structure & the internal relationships.
  • - Fact based selling (uses data effectively to develop compelling sales propositions)
  • - Able to design a sales strategy and turn it into an actionable plan.
  • - Previously managed sales operations on a national level.
  • - Experience managing a P&L.
  • - Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well.
  • - Business/management skills including strategic vision, analysis and problem solving, business and financial acumen and managing execution.
  • - Motivation, leadership, creativity and analytical ability.
