Title: Market Development Manager
Responsibilities:
- Direct responsibility to achieve local targets and fulfill actions as agreed with Regional Business Manager (RBM) or business team and local Management.
- Systematically collect, analyze and present customer, market, industry trends and competitor information/data (commercial and technical).
- MDM is encouraged and expected to develop and implement country specific business strategies and align it with the regional strategies of RBM or business team(s)/line(s).
- He/She is responsible to identify and assess potential new distribution channels in line with business and logistic strategies.
- In consultation with RBM or business teams(s)/line(s) they maintain, manage and supervise sales partners (local distributors, agents etc).
- They are responsible for servicing existing customers on regular basis and acquiring new accounts in their field of responsibility. He/She maintains, develops and enhances customer relationships for existing and potential customers.
- Guides, monitors and close follow up development projects.
- Provided no laboratory work is involved, he she offer technical advice for standard or other inquiries or they pass on inquiries in an appropriate form.
- They process complaints about quality and settle them to the customers’ satisfaction. Within given value parameters, they work independently – consulting RBM’s or business team(s)/business line(s) if said parameters are overstepped.
- He/She is in charge for the local sales forecast and HUB planning.
- Monitor credit limits as well customer receivables.
- Delivers input for sales plans and forecasting.
Requirement:
- Degree holder in chemistry related science, deep technical background
- Experience in coatings, adhesive and construction industry
- >3 years experience of B2B sales
- Fluency in English.
- Marketing / Sales experience; good success rate at securing business
- Confident and assertive manner
- Target oriented and persistent (never give up)
- Self-motivated and eagerness to develop new markets, applications and customers
- Willingness to travel
