Position : Quantity Surveyor
Role : Managing Director (oversea)
Salary : USD 2000- USD 3000
OBJECTIVE:
- The Quantity Surveyor’s primary responsibility is to examine and interpret plans in accordance with Project Manager directions to understand the scope of works and then prepare a detailed and accurate BOQ.
- To efficiently learn and master a range of programs to complete measurements in.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:
- Logical accurate and timely preparation of documentation
- Communicate effectively and complete measures to the satisfaction of
- Managers and other staff in oversea.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read tender documentation and assess risks with the oversea Manager. Including specifications to identify any ‘special’ requirements.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities in the correct format as required by oversea Managers.
- Promptly analyse the impact of tender addendums and update changes to BOQ’s and budget spreadsheet
- Where required, measure variations and compare quantities to original BOQs.
- Utilise software provided to accurate calculate quantities and produce effective
- marked up plans for on- site staff.
- Stay up to date with developments in measurement software.
- Visit oversea offices from time to time to meet and learn from headquarter staffs.

Material Engineer

Job Responsibilities
- Work with the shoe factories and material suppliers to prevent any restricted substances from exceeding NB product standards for RS chemistry.
- Monitor all RS material lists each quarter to ensure that the implementation of RS testing is done timely and correctly, before promoting materials as approved in 2020.
- Continuously improve the RS Program implementation, by working closely with the NB Program Manager, factories and material suppliers, and the RS Program consultant/test laboratory.
- Perform factory and supplier audits within the categories on the Restricted Substance List. Document and follow-up with the categories on corrective action requests and process change implementation for effectiveness.
- Develop strong relationships with our material and chemical suppliers to work in partnership to achieve our RS Program goals. Assist Managers to qualify and certify suppliers for RS Compliance.
- Educate others re the importance of RS compliance issues. Keep current with industry trends and technical advancements.
- Support RSL chemist to work closely with our RS Laboratory Testing Partner in Vietnam to provide accurate and on time testing results.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor degree with major in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Textile or Environmental Science
- 5+ years relevant of work of work with at least 2 years’ experience focus on RS program
- Solid experience in working with materials and suppliers in the footwear or apparel industry
- Ability to implement new programs and processes.
- Strong communication skills to develop relationships with a wide variety of constituents.
- Fluent in Vietnamese/English
- Data based computer skills
- Travel required within Vietnam and some other Asian countries is needed.

Production Manager

Position : Production Manager
Report to : Country Manager- ( Expatriate)
Main Purpose: To manage the production quality control process, ensuring that delivered product consistently meets brand expectations for visual quality, product durability and fit.
Requirements:
- Detailed understanding of footwear factory operation.
- Familiar with footwear production in terms of best practices
- Ability to evaluate production volume capability
- Familiar with all aspects of quality control related to footwear production.

- Understanding of factory production capacities based on product type/number of people/equipment etc.

- In depth knowledge of shoe making from start to finish
- Interpretation of Lab results and testing methods

Accountabilities:
- To manage the Q.C. team, ensuring that shoe inspections, process checks and product tests are carried out in accordance with the Brand ’ policy and standards.
- To monitor factory production performance by volume and style content and advise the Brand ’ planning teams of potential delays against delivery timetables.
- To regularly evaluate the performance of the Brand s’ Manufacturing suppliers with regard to their manufacturing methods and quality control systems
- To take responsibility for key decisions on quality at a senior level on any issues which cannot be resolved by the team, managing the appropriate communication of these decisions with key contacts in the Brand and the supplier management team.
- To analyse Q.C. reports issued from HQ and act accordingly to make improvements.
- To ensure that the factory and the the Brand QC team is properly prepared for commercialization meetings, and that the meetings are conducted professionally in order to maximise the effectiveness of the meeting.
- To work directly with tannery and other component suppliers to resolve issues when required.
- To manage the recruitment, training and career development of the quality control team to ensure that the Brand maintain the skills necessary to effectively control supplier production standards\
- To schedule the movements and day to day activities of the quality control team, ensuring that we have adequate resources in each factory to meet the company’s inspection needs without causing delays to order shipments

Commercialisation Engineer

Position : Commercialization Engineer
Report to : Lead Commercialisation Engineer
Purpose:
successful transfer of new product ideas from the approved sample stage to bulk production. Agreeing work schedules and test deadlines to meet customer delivery commitments, and ensuring that brand standards for aesthetics, quality assurance and fitting integrity are achieved by the production factory prior to authorising work to start on bulk orders.
Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of shoemaking processes and shoemaking machinery
- Detailed knowledge of shoe construction test standards and material performance requirements
- Detailed understanding of shoe fitting principles and standards
- Detailed understanding of pattern grading principles and practices
- Detailed understanding of cementing systems and cement application processes
- Basic understanding of leather grading and leather cutting practices
- Basic understanding of shoe finishing techniques
- Detailed understanding of footwear factory operation.
Accountabilities:
- To review new style ideas in advance of handover for commercialisation, advise on areas where production problems could be expected and work with the Brand and Factory technicians to resolve the problems
- To manage the progress of approved styles from handover through to the start of bulk production ensuring that agreed timetables for production start up are communicated effectively and achieved
- To manage the technical approval of new styles after the handover and in preparation for production, ensuring that prompt and effective action is taken to resolve any problems
- To approve the pattern and component grading plan for a new style, ensuring that the sample size design characteristics are faithfully represented in the full size range of shoes intended for bulk production
- To approve the intended production process for a new style, agreeing the key quality control points and the quality control measures that will be used
- To establish the quality control references needed for each new style and arrange for these references to be available in the production factory
- To arrange for the punctual release of tooling orders (new sole moulds and upper tooling on small volume styles etc) where the Brand has cost responsibility
- To establish shoe packaging methods and specifications that will prevent shoes from being damaged during transit and storage
- To authorise bulk production to start following a successful pre-production testing process
